The title says it all...
The OC Season 4 Episode 16: "The end's not near. It's Here"
Season finale of the show...won't spoil it for any OC fans who're still catching up with the show..
What i can reveal is that it brought the curtains down on a group of people who I've come to know and love for the past 4 years. Funnily, i can relate to all of them for a certain quality(ies) that have moulded me through the times when i first caught the pilot episode on Channel 5.
Ryan Atwood - Tough yet weirdly sensitive Chino kid who can't say "I Love You" to the girl he love for nuts. Should see the way he chokes when telling Marissa and T _ Y _ _ _ "I Love You"...Classic!! Also happens to be "Blood Brothers" with Seth Cohen after Cohen Senior Sandy adopts him for fear of him going back to the criminal life of Chino
Seth Cohen - Geek of Newport who loves emo and totally worships Summer Roberts, who he got together with in the end. Quirky one-liners make the show what it is today - a big hit! Son of Sandy & Kirsten Cohen
Sandy & Kirsten Cohen - Jewish guy who married the daughter of Newport property magnate and who hates the life of Newport, where everything is superficial and the people scheming to the bone. Apple not falling far from the tree, so if Seth is uniquely weird with his one-liners, expect Sandy to have his weaponry all loaded up. Kirsten, on the other hand, is a strong-minded woman who'll do what's best for her family. Self-confessed workaholic who is the example of a dream mom, without an alcohol-addiction problem, Kirsten and Sandy are 1 golden couple who are known to be able to withstand the test of time and still be together!
Though the focus are on these 4 characters only, the OC is actually about so much more that 1 blog posting won't be enough to describe the show. I won't be doing it justice anyway if 1 blog posting was summing up 4 seasons of great emotions.
Speaking of emotions, the show's demise has left a big void in myself. So much of how i coped with emotional problems was all thanks to the OC. I was able to relate to the problems faced by the characters in the show, mainly due to the similar age group of the characters as to myself and the similarity of the problems we all face.
I'm gonna miss the OC, real badly...as badly as Friends i reckon...all these years of emotions, laughs and tears..What will i do without them...
For 1 last time....
CALIFORNIA, HERE WE COME!
