Sorry for the lack of updates so far on the Sph3r3r3r 3ff3ct...it's just been a heck of a busy schedule, with these things keeping me well occupied:

1. Temasek Polytechnic Students' Union (TPSU) Students' Elections 2006
2. World Cup fever- caught AT LEAST 80% of all 38 games of the biggest footballing event this year
3. Sorting my own personal life out

Starting with pointer no.1, Polling is finally over for TP students in the Tampines campus, with votings officially closing for these people at 6.30pm SGT time, Thursday 7th July 2006. Students situated at the Tourism Academy @ Sentosa (TAS) campus can vote TOMORROW, from 10.30am-12pm Sentosa time, in the Sentosa campus itself. (TP HTM Yr 2 students, if you're reading this, please fork out the time to go and vote. YOUR VOTES ARE VERY CRUCIAL TO ME IN THE RUN-UP FOR THE HOT-SEAT IN THIS YEAR'S EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE!).

Results will then be released tomorrow at 5.45pm SGT time, in the Students' Lounge. (Supporters of candidates, including Terence Ong aka Sphererer, are cordially invited to come in and give moral support to your friends and cheer them on as an formal media announcement of the results is done in TP for the first time ever!)

To end off Pointer no.1, I really hope I can get what I've wanted from the start- the Presidency. Yes some people may not think I'm the best candidate for the job, but hey, what better way to prove them wrong than to actually organise good activities and run a tight, but happy ship w regards to my committee. Let's just pray and hope I get it, or my Sponsor's money will go down the drain...


Pointer no. 2 takes us to Germany, where it has been a World Cup to remember for the games after the group stages. The 2 semi-final fixtures have just been played out, with Italy edging Germany out 2-0 after extra-time in arguably 1 of the most pulsating games you'll ever see in World Cup history, while France beat Portugal 1-0 to set up a final meeting w Italy via the same route that they took to winning EURO 2000.

When the results come in and the tournament proper ends with the crowning of a new champion, rest assured the sPh3r3r3r 3ff3ct will be here to give you a easy-to-read-and-understand review of World Cup 2006.

Pointer no.3 brings me to my personal life, where I've decided, after 1 whole long year, that I may have given up the girl of my dreams. For those of you who knows, the girl is a head-strong girl who doesn't forgive easily, let alone forget. People have also told me that it's theoretically impossible to win her friendship and trust back, let alone her heart, and that it's like banging into a brick wall even though I know it's a brick wall. But I have to try...I did not come full circle, realizing my mistake, only to give up w/o a fight. At least with a fight, I can tell myself I really tried.
