well...am back here again...with several updates in my life....not just romance people!!...hahah....football, SU, u name it...big updates to it...so w/o holding back anymore...im proud to announce the Newcastle express!!!!


just found out that we've been drawn to meet Deportivo La Coruna of Spain in the semi-final of the Inter-Toto Cup..with SS Lazio and Olympique Marseille being potential rivals in the final barring a giant-killing feat from Tampere United or Swiss side Young Boys SC..=x....haha...but first and foremost...we're meeting Dubnica of Slovakia for a 3rd round 2-legged match after they whopped Ankaraspor of Turkey 4-1 on aggregate in the last round....

we must overcome Dubnica in the first leg first..w/o a shadow of a doubt get a good result over there...then the 2nd leg give both Emre n Parker 30mins of football..as facing Deportivo may nt be the hardest task in football now, but they're still a worthy opposition nonetheless, and we'll need creativity and industry COMBINED in the midfield to beat them...

Lazio n Marseille....hahaha...remember Marseille are SEVERELY weakened, with Peguy Luyindula not able to find back the form which made him arguably hot property in the French Ligue 1 2 seasons ago, as Marseille bought him as a DIRECT REPLACEMENT for Didier Drogba...

since then, they have lost people like Hamdani, Pedretti, Drogba, Steve Marlet, and 2 more players who left recently tt played in the team which beat us 2 seasons back.....

Lazio, on the other hand, have the mercurial Paolo Di Canio on their side, him extending his contract by another year to keep him there for this last season....with him, Tomasso Rocchi and Roberto Muzzi arguably the people we shld be fearful of for now....looking at the current squad sheet, it has big star names like Peruzzi, Couto, Ousmane Dabo, Liverani(the first black player to be capped by the Italian natl' team), but it lacks the power it had a few seasons when they won the Scudetto and had power to stay near the top 3-4 in Serie A...

overall...im nt tt scared yet.....our team can compare with these 3 teams any day on paper...form-wise, judging from their form last season as well as ours, we're on par with them at least...but we just need to play to the top of our ability...and hopefully with trouble-makers Messr' Bellers n Robert gone...we'll be stronger and can get a gd run..

and hmm..while im on the topic of Newcastle...let's move on to the mini "Days Of Our Lives" tt's going on in the NUFC-SG team now...Dalif my good friend has lashed out at most of the people in the football team after we gave him our frank comments regarding his skills and performance in matches recently, which weren't the most easy to absorb n to deal with...with Keegan, our gaffer, almost suspending him before Dom pleaded for him...

sighz..Dalif Dalif...now that u've apologized and we all accepting it...move on and improve..i've left my comments on how u can improve and stuff...take it and WORK HARD...and come back, prove to us that u've a better player n man...ACTION SPEAKS LOUDER THAN WORDS...don't do a NATO on us plz....we have faith in you, and are willing to help you. All we ask for are commitment, effort, and no fuss(no one said it was easy....if smone did..i'll kick his arse for u as it never was,still isn't easy, and will forever not be easy...=) )


hmm..moving on to "greener pastures"(hahah, as Dalif puts in his blog..)...it's time for a TPSU update....we just had our first OFFICIAL informal-bonding session thru a spring-cleaning session and BBQ at the end of the day...everyone had fun, Ah Guang had fun being Master Chef..Wei Sen did his job well as Asst. Chef..Victor Raj was, errm..., the same old joker who shoots shit out of his mouth??haha...and the gals were happy too..as were Sahf, me, Yao Ming and Alvin Neo....and Andrew was his normal loud self....

for me...i feel this to be a good bonding session with the people who i don't really know in the Ex-Co....we'll be workin together in the future, so i hope to have a fruitful relationship, both working n friendship, with all of you in the time to come...so with tt view in mind, this bonding session couldn't have gone any better, thou the Chix Wing cld certainly have!hahah....=x ,...okok im in no position to ask as i've been a big PROCRASTINATOR for this BBQ session(or shld i say...all tt ive been to??...=x =x =x)...


Sadly, all good things must come to an end, this blog entry not barring any exceptions..and what a way to end it than an update on my "Library Status", as Karine puts it..haha,

hmm...so far i've been taken off the shelve as me and her have decided to give it another go after the cooling-off period which have taken a lot out of both of us....

it's not the same now i know...tink you know too...but let's try to work smth out aite sweetie?

i've done alot of thinking these few days, and i've been bombarded with comments/views/advice/what-have-you from close friends of mine who are aware of the situation(MA,ZN,JX,XaV).....im nt ready to really decide yet, so im trying hard for now....


this r/s thing is dragging on like Steven Gerrard's contract wrangle with Pool....last summer(2003/2004) he wanted to leave Liverpool as he felt they weren't winning enough success(Premiership n Champs Lge to be exact...)...but Liverpool persuaded him to stay....a seaon later, 2004/2005, he tried to leave again for the same reason, with Chelski coming in with heavy interest but told to f*ck off by Pool's chairman David Moores n CEO Rick Parry, but this season was 1 to remember for both him and Pool fans everywhere, as they historically won the Champs Lge by beating Italian giants AC Milan 4-2 on penalties, after they came back, within a 6minute period, from 3-0 down to draw 3-3...simply awesome stuff...

then after tt...he personally said on TV, "how can i leave after a nite like that", after being asked if he was still bent on leaving Liverpool..

but now here comes the juicy part, he expected Moores n Parry to open negotiations over a new contract shortly after the triumph in Istanbul, but they dragged on, and as it dragged on, Gerrard felt as if he wasnt wanted..and felt even more unwanted after he was asked wat terms it was required for him to stay....

He flared up..didn't want contract extension....fans took to burning his jersey outside Anfield as sign of hating him..but 24 hours after tt decision...he decided to sign a new contract afterall after sitting down with his GF and agent, with cell phone n TV off, and thinking bout his blood ties with Liverpool(he's born n bred Merseysider, been at Pool since 8)....



so right now im like this....uncertain of my future and whether or not i'll sign...but for now i'll still give 100% until we win the Champs Lge...so bear with me aite?plz....






so well...once again a long post, with seemingly a lot of football facts in it...i sense a change of direction for my blog....tink i might as well just use it as a platform for me to hone my football journalism skills and challenge Wang Meng Meng n Ernest Louis for their jobs at TNP...what say u guys?hahah..lemme know.....
